Hey, Ryan here…
And I found this cool graphic that shows just how many businesses some of the most successful serial entrepreneurs have started over the years.
I think you might recognize some of these names.
Check it out:
And if you take a look, you can see some interesting patterns emerge:
- 4 out of 5 started when they were 12.
- 4 out of 5 started out selling physical products
- By their 3rd or 4th business they were already making their first million.
They started out doing whatever they could to earn money.
And once the profits were pouring in…
They were able to tackle projects that they’re more passionate about.
These guys have definitely found the balance between doing what you enjoy, what you’re good at, and what makes money.
But most of us haven’t found that balance yet.
It’s a process that I’m working on too.
In my own business, I’ve found that I’m really good at getting on the phone with people, thinking strategically, and giving advice.
I’m great at thinking on my feet…
And not so great when I have to appear in front of a camera.
Who knows…maybe it’s something I’ll get better at.
But for now my team has affectionate (and NSFW) nicknames for some of the live action videos I’ve done…
They’re THAT bad.
So the lesson of the day is:
- Start with something
- Slowly evolve as you move closer to your passion AND talents
And for all you action takers looking for THE place to get on-demand feedback, advice, and access to some of the greatest minds in marketing…
