Hey, it’s Ryan here…
And I’ve got piloerections (Google it, it’s totally PG).
I just can’t help myself sometimes.
Most of the time I manage to hold back my inner science nerd…
But sometimes I just have to “leak the geek.”
“Leaking the Geek”
Now, I want to talk about the difference between launches and funnels in evolutionary terms.
Launches are the equivalent of punctuated equilibrium in evolutionary theory.
If you’re wondering, what the heck is punctuated equilibrium…
It’s a theory in evolutionary biology proposing that, instead of evolution being smooth and continuous…
Evolutionary changes happen in bursts of rapid and dramatic events…
With long periods of stasis in between.
I had my “graphic designer” illustrate this:
So what does this mean in business?
When you do a launch, it represents a huge spike in your business.
And when you use launches in your business, it tends to look a lot like an EKG…
You see periodic spikes (the launches), but in between launches, you don’t see much growth.
The launch model is great if you need a quick influx of revenue into your business…
But it’s NOT punctuated equilibrium. It’s not evolutionary.
Because in order to see an upward trend, you need to support your launches with an evergreen sales funnel.
And tomorrow I’ll talk about how combining launches with funnels can create this kind of EVOLUTION in your business growth.
P.S. You’d be amazed at how much your mindset can affect your business and what you’re able to achieve.
In the Next Level Group Mastermind, we’re overflowing with people who are ambitious, motivated, and positive about getting to the next level in their business.
Sara noticed a difference in her mindset in just a week in the group:
