Hey, it’s Ryan here…
You know I’m a big believer in feedback (that’s what ASK is all about, right?)
Everywhere I turn I look for ways to use feedback to guide my decision making.
Whether it’s through split tests, or heat maps, or feedback to guide the decisions on the format we use for content.
Maybe you’ve noticed over the past few weeks that we’ve been experimenting with short audios, long audios, plain text emails, blog posts, and even a few live-action videos.
And along the way, we’ve been ASKing for feedback on each new format with a simple P.S. in an email.
**Results are approximate—not actual data
So that tells us that there are different pockets of people on our list.
Which means that there are different pockets of people on your list as well.
If you send out content once a week, you could consider finding out how your list consumes information, add people to different sublists…
And then create content in 4 different formats: long audio, short audio, text, and video…
Sending them to the type of content that’s most relevant.
If you’re on a daily content schedule, like I am, you might just want to mix up the format as you go.
Remember, you can always “check in” with your audience to find out what they think on anything that you’re doing.
Many people are afraid to ask…but find that when they do, they get lots of valuable responses…
AND appreciation from their audience because they asked for feedback!
It’s as simple as adding a P.S. to an email saying, “Hey, we’ve been trying out something a bit different. What do you think? *Hit reply* to this email and let me know. Thanks!”
Now, it’s your turn: if you are ALREADY doing this in your marketing…OR you are going to try it soon, send me an email and let me know how it’s working for you.
Can’t wait to hear from you.
P.S. When people are at a loss for words…you know you have something special:
All over the map.
The “shock and awe” effect of NLM is amazing to watch.
